The SuperZero 2.1 is a true high-end mini-monitor that builds on the merits of its predecessors through the addition of a 2nd order crossover and a newly revised woofer.  The SuperZero 2.1 is small speaker, at just 9" tall x 5" wide x 5.5" deep, that achieves its lifelike mid-range and high frequencies through acoustic suspension technology. This compact, well-braced cabinet coated with a beautiful black gloss laminate is designed to be inherently strong and stout in order to avoid the unwanted vibrations that afflict the mid-range performance of other speakers on the market. These small differences significantly lower distortion, improve power handling, and make the SuperZero 2.1 sound much bigger than its size. With easy wall/ceiling mounting options available, the SuperZero 2.1 complements the SS 10 subwoofer perfectly in creating an affordable yet high-end stereo or surround sound system.

SuperZero 2.1 Our Amazing Mini-Monitor

Im an old fan of NHT and from the 90s area specificly
Own these as home theather sound system:
NHT 2.9
NHT 1.5
NHT SubTwo

Bought the SuperZero 2.1 and SS-10 Sub as computer sound for music and must say the sound is really really impressive and the bass is clear and fast (superb) <3
Im using usb connected device from computer DAC, Dynavoice CA802BT that have an integrated AMP and subwoofer out
Must say the new NHT systems deliver good sound as well :) The Bass is much clearer then my SubTwo to be honest.
Thank you once again NHT for making fantastic products.

Praise for SuperZero 2.1

SuperZero 2.1 Our Amazing Mini-Monitor

Hi Folks;
Having briefly retired I now have time to write. I am listening to your SuperZero 2.1's as I finally bought a pair from I have had Classic 2's and Classic 3's for years, so I could be considered by some to be biased I suppose; but the first good speaker I still own is the Kef 101 Reference I bought in 1984. Older audiophiles know them and their sister the BBC LS3/5a very well. (Though perhaps not a much younger generation) At the moment I rotate a few stand mount speakers. The Kef 101's & LS50's, GoldenEar Aon 2, Polk LSiM 703, and NHT Classic 2 & 3 every few months as my mood suits. It's fun. All are good in their own strengths and weaknesses and all exceptional at their price point. That's of course, a humble opinion.

I've had your desk top Superpower 2.1 as my computer monitors for a few years so I thought I knew their potential when hooked up the SuperZero's to my main system. Well, I'm shocked ..... Hell... I'm really shocked. I didn't have any idea how well they scale with decent back up behind them (Bryston B135 Integrated, Sim Audio Moon & Cambridge Audio Source with good cabling and Skylan speaker stands). These speakers are truly unbelievable in their presentation, imaging, tonal accuracy and detail.... down to a point, that being around a hundred hertz. But they do exactly what their designed to do ridiculously well above that point.

Properly integrating my NHT B12d subwoofer was a bit trickier than with my other speakers though. The same can be said for my Kef 101 Reference as they don't go much lower than the Zero's and I just find it easier to mate a sub correctly by ear when the speaker is capable of good bass on their own to around the 50hz range in my particular listening room and nearfield configuration. However, once I had spent a few hours tweaking with my reference recordings I was able to turn my Zero's into a fully balanced, exquisitely detailed, pinpoint imaging rig. I would never have thought it possible for ANY 300.00 pair of speakers to scale as they do. You end up with a pair of speakers that will match and better other recognized and well-respected makers in their thousands. My Kef 101 and LS50's with the B12d are both still my reference though they differ in strengths. But folks, these speakers are $300.00 a pair!!!  Check out the price of the current LS3/5a from Rogers or Falcon. What you've done with the Zero is crazy..... Thanks for another great speaker. You never cease to amaze me.  The Zero just does what it's designed to do so right......

Excellent product!

SuperZero 2.1 Our Amazing Mini-Monitor

Bought a pair of Super Zero 2.1 speakers a couple of years ago, never got the chance to write a review. Have to say, it is one of the best speakers we've ever had. We used to have a pair of klipsch towers at over 7 times the cost of these and these destroy the klipsch as far as imaging is concerned. Using same sub and readjusted crossover to blend with these small speakers and wow. Accurate and detailed within frequency range and sub handles low end. Feed these puppies some clean power and enjoy the music. You can spend as much as you want on speakers and sound is subjective for listener but as an old audiophile who was in custom hifi for years these speakers are as good as it gets for this low price and with a good sub, amplification and proper crossover settings embarrass many floor standing speakers at 10 times the price. You can take that to the bank.

SuperZero 2.1's are Fantastic

SuperZero 2.1 Our Amazing Mini-Monitor

I recently purchased a pair of SuperZero 2.1's along with a SS-10 10 inch subwoofer direct from NHT to form a 2.1 full range system. The overall performance of this new system is excellent. Bass performance of the Super Zero 2.1 by themselves is only good down to around 85 hz which is to be expected due to its small 4-1/2" sealed woofer; however, the midrange / high end performace above 85 hz is amazingly good. Also, these little speakers will play surprising loud without distoring Overall sound quality is very wide, clean, and natural sounding with excellent musical  detail whether listening to music or watching movies. I'm noticing little details in the sound that I never heard before on any of the previous speakers systems I've owned. With the Super Zero 2.1 combined with the SS-10 subwoofer it forms a full range system comparable to other speaker systems selling up to three times as much or more. So far I am extremely pleased with the performance of both my Super Zero 2.1's and the SS-10 subwoofer. NHT makes great sounding speakers.

SuperZero 2.1 Our Amazing Mini-Monitor

I just purchased a pair of Super Zero 2.1 to connect to the Griffin Twenty amp and play my pc music. This replaced my Cambridge Soundworks 2.1 speakers and the difference is night and day. The richness of the 2.1's blow me away. I hear things I hadn't before and the amount of bass is perfect for me. I was constantly adjusting the Cambridge due to the bass and now the only thing I mess with is the volume. I own only NHT speakers (Absolute Towers and b10 sub, also the discontinued NHT Verve speakers for TV audio) Great company and great people. Looking for future releases from NHT!
